Chiropractor, Internationally Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner
Dr Matthew Proctor received his Masters Degree in Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg in 2010, and was invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society. He presented his masters dissertation at the Annual South African Chiropractic Congress in 2010.
After enjoying 3 years of working in another private practice in morningside chiropractor, Matthew started the Sandton Sport & Family Chiropractic clinic in 2013.
He has a passion for sports, and finds Chiropractic an effective tool in the treatment and prevention of sports injury, improving overall sporting performance and endurance. Matthew is a fully accredited Sports Chiropractor through the South African Sports Medicine Associate, and has completed his Internationally Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (ICCSP) through Federation Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS).
Matthew has attended various post-graduate seminars including “Musculoskeletal Health in the Infant and Pre-School Child” through the AECC (Anglo-European College of Chiropractic) in Bournemouth, England. He enjoys treating babies and children, as well as helping expectant mothers with musculoskeletal complaints commonly associated with pregnancy.
He is a fully accredited member of the South African Sports Medicine Association, the Chiropractic Association of South Africa, and the Federation Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport.
Matthew is currently a part-time masters lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, lecturing Myofascial Dry Needling techniques, and moderating Clinical Biomechanics & Kinesiology 5.
